The wisdom literature of the Bible is unique in its concern with the life of the individual, the pitfalls that beset us, the hopes that sustain us, and the practical perspectives that may guide us throughout life even in the midst of adversity. Major segments of this literature also plumb the mysteries of existence and the universe, and the meaning of life—all this integrated into a single but complex and astute conception of wisdom. We will explore all this and more in our four sessions together.  It is not essential to bring a Bible (but it may be helpful).
